The Westin Los Robles, Pasadena

Occasionally, we'll be posting the hotels where we stayed, not in terms of an all-out review but just some highlights and notable mentions...

Fountain Gardens of the Westin
The Westin Pasadena is a beautiful hotel close to the historic downtown district.  What was really amazing was the grounds of the hotel with its lush gardens and flowing fountains located behind the structure.

Fountains and Colonnades
There's such beauty to the European architecture; the outdoor corridors flanked with streaming fountains culminating into a center square with sculptures surrounded with Cyprus trees and arching colonnades.  We would exit the hotel through these gardens everyday to get to the center of town, and it truly influenced our perception of this beautiful suburban town.  Oddly enough it wasn't occupied by many people even on the bright warm days, so one could find solace and peace here.

Streaming Fountains
The interior of the Westin is also just as grand;  the lobby is bright and airy,  the hallways on each floor is ridiculously wide in today's standards and the rooms are comfortable.

We highly recommend staying here, but even if you don't, if you get a chance to spend a day in Pasadena, definitely take a stroll into the back gardens of the Westin; there's a chance you will see us there!!
