Update to Bread & Butter Restaurant-Bakery-Cafe, Henderson





More Pastries!!!

Alright, as we said in our first post, we would try and order different things on the menu: namely more pastries and entrees, (we seem to order the same thing all the time).  So here we go- we branched out and diversified!!












Strawberry Croissant

Strawberry Croissant: delicious and buttery the strawberry jam makes this a prefect, portion sized breafast snack. and topped with that crunchy crumble, I think we've found another favorite pastry item.






Cheese Danish






That is, until we bit into the Cheese Danish!  A flakey croissant brioche was unbearably decadent with the custard cream interior and cream cheese topping- it was a hit with the table!

Raspberry Doughnut


Another home run with the Raspberry doughnut, fried to perfections with a crunchy, sugary exterior, the juicy oils seeping through and coating your mouth combined with the Raspberry jam-thank god there's no drive thru!

The pastries at Bread & Butter remind me of the pastries in Italy, small but delicious and totally worth every calorie!

Eggplant Grilled Cheese
For a change of pace, We ordered a Lunch item for Breakfast (Gasp!)  I've always wanted to try the Eggplant Grilled Cheese: with Laura Chenel Goat Cheese, Smoked Mozzarella, Grilled Asparagus, Roasted Eggplant, Tomato Sauce and Arugula Pesto on a fluffy Roll, it was extremely satisfying for this meat lover!!

The Arugula Pesto is great with the Eggplant; Roasted and meaty in texture, it serves as a hearty filler / substitute for meat. Add the Tomato Sauce and two cheeses, it is a filling sandwich!!
