At this point, we're at Bread & Butter pretty much every weekend, so we need to consolidate our visits into one post.... It's been hard to try new items on the menu, considering there's our favorite mainstays of Br & Bu, (Red Velvet Whoopie Pie, Waffle Sandwich).... But for our readers, we bravely forge on...
The Pastries are obnoxiously delicious, the best in town! We've ordered the Sticky Buns, the Chocolate Doughnut with Cream filling and the Strawberry Croissant (what do they do with the other half of the Croissant) all were amazing. If you're in our area of town, I do implore you to go and treat yourself to some honestly, scrumptious pastries.....
Also on the menu are the Filled Doughnuts: Raspberry and Vanilla Creme. Can't stress enough that these are a must get: with the powder sugar on top and the fresh tasting filling, these blow any mega-chain doughnut out of the water..
And our favorite: the red Velvet Whoopie Pie-it's really a dessert but it's always ordered to take home for that afternoon snack or evening dessert. The moistness of thick Red Velvet cake sandwiching the Sour Creme filling is just a perfect dish.

The beverage of choice for Br&Bu is Root Beer, and we are determined to try every selection that they offer: this time we tried Empire and Fitz's...two down, twenty four more to go!!!
Our next visit, we had the Vegetable Pizza, which for a carnivore like us, was surprisingly satisfying and filling! The amount of garden vegetable with the Cheeses proved to be just enough to fill our appetites!
The Mufalleta Sandwich is clearly our go-to for instant gratification: The layers of Meats (Ham, Salami, Mortadella and Capicola) with the Trifecta of Swiss, Provolone and Mozarella is a protein blaster of epic portions.. (and the Giardniera Spread is amazing)....Even if you may not be a fan of the Deli sandwiches, you must try this!!
And, we've come full circle: back to Breakfasts. Here's the Bagel and Lox, the Steel Cut Oatmeal with Condiments and the Country Ham, Egg and Waffle Sandwich. And you all know how we feel about the Waffle Sandwich, thick slices of Ham with Egg and Cheese with White Bechamel Sauce drizzled all over... delicious...
Oh yeah, there's the Oatmeal... (who orders that in a restaurant?)

...looks stellar. Visiting Vegas from 12/21-12/26 and it will be my first time with a car allowing me to get off the strip. Definitely looking forward to this one.
ReplyDeleteOff topic, I'm also looking for some local gourmands to meet up for a pre-Christmas lunch at Lotus of Siam - if you'd be interested please feel free to contact me, otherwise thank you for the great blog.
